The Curve
Using the Blood Glucose Curve Generator is a great way to visualise your cat’s blood glucose levels and to check insulin effectiveness. This information helps your vet prescribe the best treatment plan.
Step 1
Blood
Sampling
Just prior to giving insulin, sample the blood. Record blood glucose concentration and time.
Feed and inject your cat with Caninsulin®. Record dose, dose time and meal time.
Sample the blood in at least 60 to 120 minute intervals over a period of 12 to 24 hours. Record blood glucose concentration and time of each sample.
Feed and inject your cat with second dose of Caninsulin®. Record dose, dose time and meal time.
